New York glamour wedding celebration inspiration
One for the ladies! (As if everything else I write hasn’t been haha)
I’m currently creating items for a styled photoshoot in New York, with a bunch of incredibly talented wedding professionals, like Maya Kalman from SwankProductions, Andrea from Andrea & Marcus, Rebecca Ashby from ThePinkOrange stationery studio… here are a few sneak peeks from our mood board!

I’m super buzzed about the photo shoot, I know it will be so glamorous, so much eye candy! Swoooooooon! I’m creating a bunch of design accents with my illustrations that I’ve never made before. With velvet! And cast acrylic! I’m really excited about these as well. Stay tuned! Come back!

Unusual Wedding Inspiration: Ice Lanterns
Last week, I put together a sumptuous winter wedding mood board for you. I love transparent design elements, so let me share another lovely design accent perfect for a cold season celebration: ice candle holders and lanterns!
I stumbled across this lovely inspiration on the design platform pinterest:

Or look at this lovely candle lantern, which I spotted on Flickr:
I also love this more puristic design:
Or how about this shape?:
Enough cold for now? I agree. For now, let’s get back to enjoying summer!

Aren’t these flower embedded ice cubes adorable? I LOVE them!
Unusual Wedding Inspiration: Temperature & Textures
When thinking of design, we tend to think about the visual aspects first. In case you are currently planning your wedding, here’s some different inspiration:
What if you asked your wedding planner to draw on temperature and texture as wedding design muse?
For example, take a look at this mood board where I drew inspiration from winter (crystal, glass, ice, cool tones) and juxtaposed them to warmth (and soft velvet, fur, lush dark tones):

As I create custom-tailored wedding illustrations, I visualize the couple’s personality, story, and style. Using the above style inspiration, I could create an elegant, fashion-inspired illustration, and then continue the play on textures by printing on really smooth paper that feels cool to the touch, with velvet tactile accents. If you are intrigued, email me! Thus far, I haven’t worked with this concept yet, so you would be the very first to amaze your guests this way!
