more wedding fashion inspiration from New York
As promised, I’m back with a bunch of more inspirations from my recent visit to New York Bridal Week! Here are some more of my favorites. May they inspire you like they did me!
Desla Couture Bridal Accessories – loved how feminine, delicate and unique their pieces are!
I’m also very fond of their brooches, which seem to be a great keepsake that can be worn even after the wedding.

Monvieve – haute couture heirloom bridal accessories…
I was smitten by the elaborate intricate patterns of their veils!
Veronica Sheaffer gowns – I’m in love with her Spring 2012 collection!
Even though the designer was apparently inspired by weathered white-washed fences {see Southern Weddings Magazine blog post}, the collection seems to also pair a sweet sense of whimsy with Parisian inspiration and fashion elements of the Fifties. Adorable! I met Veronica personally, she also happens to be very sweet – wishing her much success, which no doubt she’ll have!
Vivien Sheriff hats and headpieces - unique pieces for brides who love to express their own style!
Atelier Aimee – one of my all-time favorites for very fine sophisticated bridal couture…
Allure Bridals totally inspired me to illustrate! Just look at these details, oh my!

WEDDING FASHION STYLIST call up Julie Sabatino – New York {the stylish bride} if you like to have one fabulous day in New York going to the best addresses in town with your personal consultant, finding your perfect dress! I met Julie personally at the Claire Pettibone couture show, she’s not only a great resource but also really nice :)
WEDDING GOWN BOUTIQUE Gabriella New York – love her boutique, and love the owner. Gabriella is super nice, savvy, and her collections are stunning! It was in her boutique, that I first saw one of the delicate Sassi Holford gowns on a bride, and was able to experience the moment where she found her one special gown. The room was suddenly still, you just felt it, this was the special moment. It was so moving!
This is only part of all the gorgeousness that I was able to indulge in while in New York – I can’t wait to let some of these inspirations flow into my next illustrations! Hope you enjoyed my post {comments welcome! :-)} – see you soon again, soon with more illustrations from me…
Happy weekend!
Honored to be Featured on Style Me Pretty
I’m honored and excited to announce: my work was just featured on Style Me Pretty! Let me share a few teaser images with you. For example, I designed this illustrated thank you card series for a Tuscany inspired engagement party table setting:
For this French café inspired engagement scene tablescape design, I contributed a small illustrated “Will You Marry Me?” note card:
and for a clean-chic white-in-white wedding celebration table with this lush lace-adorned cake…
…I created wedding menu cards, and an illustrated plexiglas cake-topper statuette:

Unique Wedding Inspiration: Ralph Lauren’s Bugatti 1938
What if your wedding design could be touched by the luxury of one of the hottest cars ever made, the Bugatti 57SC Atlantic 1938?
While most of us could never afford this luxurious automobile (only four were ever made, only two exist today, one of which recently sold for $23 million), if you love this car, using it as inspiration I could help you to incorporate it into your wedding. How?
I’ll be mysterious this time – come back in a week to see!
In the meantime, if you are in Paris, you may like to see this amazing piece of automobile design live at the Ralph Lauren car exhibition!
Read more about the exhibition here, on the museum’s website.
In the Name of Love
When I visited Paris two weeks ago, I was happily strolling around the area of Le Marais after a hearty breakfast at the charming Le Loir Dans La Théière cafe (if you ever make it there, taste the Tarte Citron Meringue – it was sinfully decadent, but absolutely divine!). Very close to this lovely tea house, I happened to stumble across one of Annick Goutal’s elegant beauty boutiques:
I love her branding…all her products are so chic and beautiful! So, as a tribute to Paris, pretty things, and in the name of love: Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
