Unusual wedding design inspiration – Pucci
I bet you are all super crazed at this time – the end of the year is almost upon us, the holidays, and what with the cold weather! At least where I am (shiver). Here’s bit of wedding inspiration to shake you out everything that’s on your mind these days:
As Annie Lee from daughter of design (one of my fav wedding designers!) says (see point 3 in these style tips from her): “Your inspiration can come from anywhere.” It can be one little thing that you love, which will get all your inspiration going. Or one big thing. How about PUCCI?
Pucci – Inspiration from Italy
In my book, this designer is a god of patterns. Just looking at them makes me think of ornamental accents for a wedding stationery suite. How about you? Another muse could be the materials you see above. Wouldn’t the gold embroidery be a lavish design element to use in your celebration? Or lace that’s brought to modern times through fashion inspired patterns like you see above?
If you’re in inspiration heaven now, fabulous! If not and you like help, contact me any time (specializing in sophisticated illustrations and celebration design accents, I’d be delighted to create a unique concept for you – click here to learn more).
romantic engagement story and wedding inspiration
If you’re romantically inclined and have a heart for art like me, you know this wonderful painting:
“The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt.
Well, apparently there was someone special once who was an even more passionate admirer of Klimt and this painting. The story goes that as she was standing in front of it, enraptured by her own romantic thoughts, her boyfriend, who knew about her passion, took this special moment and proposed to her, right then and there in the museum.
What beautiful memories she must have now whenever she sees the painting! And what a sweetheart of a husband. Read the full story here.
I would have loved to design their wedding stationery. This proposal story could have been beautiful inspiration for a tailor-made illustration for their wedding stationery. Or, perhaps, more appropriately, for a framed canvas print as keepsake after their celebration!
unusual wedding inspiration: Design Week Milan
Do you love geometrical, clean-cut motifs, and Italian design? While you begin planning your wedding, consider incorporating a unique pattern into your wedding stationery. This architectural sculpture by Michael Young would be amazing inspiration!

Unusual Wedding Inspiration: Heidi Klum & Seal
A few days ago, Heidi Klum and Seal celebrated their 6th vow renewal with an event at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. As in previous years, they playfully added a theme to their party.
This time, they turned their ceremony into a Pirates of the Caribbean inspired ball!
Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their vows for the 6th time
I love how they renew their vows each year. And why not put a fun spin on it?
Most of us may feel that such a strong theme would be too bold or distracting for an actual wedding day. But how about an engagement party, girls’ weekend, or vow renewal celebration?
No matter what inspiration you may choose, it can always be done in style. Take a look at this pirate-inspired style board I created for you:

I added the locket pendant to the set because it could be a beautiful way to add meaning to your celebration. How sweet would it be to engrave secret words of love inside just for you to see?
What do you think? Would you consider adding unique flair like this to your own love celebration?
