more wedding fashion inspiration from New York
As promised, I’m back with a bunch of more inspirations from my recent visit to New York Bridal Week! Here are some more of my favorites. May they inspire you like they did me!
Desla Couture Bridal Accessories – loved how feminine, delicate and unique their pieces are!
I’m also very fond of their brooches, which seem to be a great keepsake that can be worn even after the wedding.

Monvieve – haute couture heirloom bridal accessories…
I was smitten by the elaborate intricate patterns of their veils!
Veronica Sheaffer gowns – I’m in love with her Spring 2012 collection!
Even though the designer was apparently inspired by weathered white-washed fences {see Southern Weddings Magazine blog post}, the collection seems to also pair a sweet sense of whimsy with Parisian inspiration and fashion elements of the Fifties. Adorable! I met Veronica personally, she also happens to be very sweet – wishing her much success, which no doubt she’ll have!
Vivien Sheriff hats and headpieces - unique pieces for brides who love to express their own style!
Atelier Aimee – one of my all-time favorites for very fine sophisticated bridal couture…
Allure Bridals totally inspired me to illustrate! Just look at these details, oh my!
Allure Bridals, pure sophistication.

WEDDING FASHION STYLIST call up Julie Sabatino – New York {the stylish bride} if you like to have one fabulous day in New York going to the best addresses in town with your personal consultant, finding your perfect dress! I met Julie personally at the Claire Pettibone couture show, she’s not only a great resource but also really nice :)
WEDDING GOWN BOUTIQUE Gabriella New York – love her boutique, and love the owner. Gabriella is super nice, savvy, and her collections are stunning! It was in her boutique, that I first saw one of the delicate Sassi Holford gowns on a bride, and was able to experience the moment where she found her one special gown. The room was suddenly still, you just felt it, this was the special moment. It was so moving!
This is only part of all the gorgeousness that I was able to indulge in while in New York – I can’t wait to let some of these inspirations flow into my next illustrations! Hope you enjoyed my post {comments welcome! :-)} – see you soon again, soon with more illustrations from me…
Happy weekend!
Wedding Fashion Inspiration from New York
Ok everyone, sorry for the longer silence, I’ve been on a business trip, and still – one more stop and I’ll be home. Even though I’m just at the airport I don’t want you to miss out what I saw first row (well, second, actually) at New York Bridal Market last week!
All I’ll say is Claire Pettibone. I’m totally in love with her work. What a collection! See for yourself.
Love how she incorporated vintage European pattern influences, and fused them with modern style
Just look at the details – her patterns are stunning!

Sorry have to rush to board my next plane – more inspiration from New York coming soon!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Spring 2011 Bridal Fashion Shows – my top picks
Last week, I promised to share some vintage pin-up imagery inspiration. Well, you’ll have to forgive me for a change of program. A few days ago, NYC was bedazzled with bridal glamour during Bridal Market, one of the country’s leading bridal fashion events, so I decided to share some fresh bridal fashion gorgeousness with you instead!
Jessica, one of the trusted wedding professionals I work with, had front row seats and allowed me to share her photos with you. Formerly the owner of a bridal boutique, she now combines her experience with a knack for stylish, elegant prose to passionately write for businesses with a sophisticated female audience. She also regularly contributes to the Wedding Aces blog. Thanks to Jessica, I’m thrilled to share some of my favorites with you today!
Isn’t this adorable?

I always love it when an item can be used in multiple ways. For example, a jewelry accessory can be used to highlight your gown, your hair, or maybe even your shoes! And best of all, it’s a keeper with a happy memory for future festive occasions.
Stephanie Browne Australia, Spring 2011
I hope you enjoyed these bridal catwalk glimpses as much as I did. Which is your favorite? I had such a hard time choosing! Hope to see you again next Friday for more eye candy!
Jessica Fox: Thank you so much for generously sharing your fashion insights and your fantastic photos!
