Greek Island Wedding Inspiration
Are you dreaming of getting married in the wonderful Mediterranean, on a Greek Island? Then this inspiration may be just perfect for you. Through my brand design atelier, I recently had the opportunity to develop and design the new brand for Stella and Moscha (formerly known as Weddings in Santorini). They are really talented top notch Greek Island wedding designers, and it was a pleasure to help them do their work justice with a custom-tailored new brand design. I’m so excited for them: their new website and Greek Island Wedding Inspirations blog went live this weekend!
A sneak peek of their new website:

This is some of the inspiration I worked with when designing for them:
I collected these images (and more, see my mood board on pinterest) in light of their unique expertise and brand characteristics – each image holds special significance:
- Inspiration: Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love, and Greek art history. Image via pinterest
- Last century’s designer to the stars: Madame Grès, whose muse was classical greek fashion. Image via pinterest
- Moscha from Stella and Moscha asked me to be inspired by the classical Greek Meandros pattern, as seen in this piece
- The wedding designers’ work is top notch, they work with designer hotels and for international brides – these Louboutin’s signified this for me
- Grace Santorini Hotel, one of the boutique hotels Stella and Moscha work with
- This image visualized their brand feeling for me: Celebrating, warm Mediterranean sea breeze, warmth, luxury, joy of life! Image via pinterest
- Greek Stefanas, traditional wedding crowns. Moscha loved these as inspiration, and we played with the thought of using them in the design!
I’ll share more details soon! In the meantime, start dreaming of a vacation in Greece – like I am right now! – and indulge in Stella and Moscha’s beautiful event design galleries.
Happy weekend everyone!
In the Name of Love
When I visited Paris two weeks ago, I was happily strolling around the area of Le Marais after a hearty breakfast at the charming Le Loir Dans La Théière cafe (if you ever make it there, taste the Tarte Citron Meringue – it was sinfully decadent, but absolutely divine!). Very close to this lovely tea house, I happened to stumble across one of Annick Goutal’s elegant beauty boutiques:
I love her branding…all her products are so chic and beautiful! So, as a tribute to Paris, pretty things, and in the name of love: Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
Bjoern von Rotz makes me exclusive blogger
Recently, I had my hair done at Room of Design, a very unique, elegant, cosy, art deco-inspired salon in Zurich, Switzerland. An international hair and make-up artist, Room of Design’s owner Bjoern von Rotz styles celebrities and models all over the world! Somehow, between cut, color, and blow out, our conversation turned to business and blogging. I was amazed to learn that they don’t run a blog yet – the salon is overflowing with inspiration!
Guess what happened?!
Bjoern promptly commissioned me to design a blog for Room of Design, and to be their exclusive blogger. I’m thrilled! Not only do I get a first row seat for all their news and sneak peeks, I also get to share how they inspire me on their new Models and Muses blog!
When I designed the Room of Design blog, I worked with a few references, inspired by the salon’s interior design and style mission:
Come visit me on Room of Design’s brand new Models and Muses blog, see the design, and get carried away! If you ever stop by in Zurich, make sure to put Room of Design on your schedule. There’s nothing better than pampering yourself in art deco ambiance, to the sound of Nora Jones, next to movies straight from the silver screen.
Next Friday, I’ll share new designs from my wedding illustration kitchen!
